January and Guns. Mostly Guns.

So I pulled off the biggest surprise yet when I got Austin a shotgun he had been drooling over for Christmas. Not only that, but I got it on sale too. He had no idea. Best face ever on Christmas morning. Little did I know this was only the beginning of gun fever. Oh boy. Now I just hear about gun accessories, gun ammunition (now he wants to make his own...), and new guns. So many guns. But didn't I just get him a gun??? It didn't help that his brother Jordan also got a shotgun, and then got a glock handgun a little later. I swear every Saturday since Christmas has been about shooting. Good thing I love that boy. And good thing I also like guns. I'm a pretty good shot.

A typical date night usually ends in a visit to Cal-Ranch or Sportsmans Warehouse...

Hayley and Nate came into town... so of course we went shooting. I can't get over how Hayley's (Jordan's) gun disappears. Camo is real!

The next weekend, one of the Bunderson brothers (Brett) came into town, so what did we do? Go shoot. Austin decided to create a target man to hold a soda to shoot. He pulled this out in about 10 minutes. Ha.

He went through quite a lot.

Despite all the guns, we've made a tiny bit more progress on the house. Upstairs is done, minus painting all the doors and finishing the baby room. Austin got one of the downstairs walls primed a few weeks ago but then got a pretty nasty stomach bug. So that's where we left off. Still sooooo much to do. My goal was to have everything done by the time baby came, but I almost can't see that happening. It's stressing me out. But my body can no longer keep up with my ambition. It sucks. I'm following in my sisters footsteps and have developed SPD or PGP in my 3rd trimester. I'm pretty much only happy when I'm in my large bathtub soaking in hot water and peppermint oil. I spent the day cleaning on my day off a few weeks ago and then spent the next day home in bed because I couldn't move. Or walk. Or roll over. Or anything. I wish I would have known to soak up that lovely 2nd trimester... So I pretty much can't get anything done in our house unless I want to be in excruciating pain for the next few days following. I keep having wonderful dreams of going away for a weekend and having HGTV come finish my house. Sigh. Ah well. Our house may still be in shambles when baby girl gets here, but oh well. I'm coming to terms with it. Meanwhile, less than 2 months left. Yay!
