Winter at the Beech.

Yeah, I wish I meant Beach, too. Photo/Insta-update:

We ditched school and went snowboarding on a cheap day. It was top-notch. Sun was out, snow was fresh, and it was so warm we didn't even wear our real coats. Plus we ended with Cafe Rio, so it was a pretty good day.

Once I started episode one of Vampire Diaries when I was home sick. I may have even watched two. I thought it was dumb and that was that. Then for some reason I was bored or something one day and watched episode three. Big mistake. 42 hours later (ok, not really), I'm hooked. Stupid Vampire Diaries. Husband hates it. So I watch it while he does homework. Sucker.

When I lived in Logan I once saw a fantastic, full double rainbow. I naturally got very angry and freaked out. My friends thought I was doing a bit from the "double rainbow guy." I had never even heard of this guy... They promptly made me watch, and wow, I saw myself through new eyes. But I can't help who I am. Needless to say, when this double rainbow came along, I made boy pull the car over so I could document. He thought I was ridiculous.

Our apartment is tiny. But we love it. I am a tad bit OCD and keep a lot of paperwork. Finally took a Saturday to go through old files from my parents (I had an entire file cabinet to myself) and new files that have been piling up on the counter. I wanted to go through everything and fit our entire paper lives into this little box. It worked! Ah, bliss. I wish I would have taken pictures of all my piles of paper spread out on the floor in the process of organizing. Oh well.

Finished product. I'm quite proud of just how much paper crap I threw away. I hope I don't need any proof of taxes filed before 2009...

The next project was to create a "dump" station by the front door that I had pinned from an organizing blog I love. Here's how it turned out (also, there are now 2 spots on my iphone camera, and it's driving me insane. They show up in every photo!)

We go to Hurricane pretty much every Sunday to eat dinner with our families. Most of the time we eat a little something at both parents' houses. It's pretty awesome. Austin hates it, but my parents house means I get to snuggle with fixity for a little bit. He is just so soft! Whatever, I like cats.

And my husband still loves me. Good to know. Our front door is ghetto. So is our neighborhood. And our neighbors for that matter... Oh, and our neighbor may have a crush on my husband. Actually I'm 90% positive it's true. And he is a 50-year-old man who is living with his partner. I'd have a crush on my husband too if I were him. I wonder how his partner feels about it...

In other news, my 2nd job is going well. I love receptioning (should be a word) at Weight Watchers. And apparently they already love me! I just spent the weekend in Vegas for a training to become a leader. I LOVED every second of it. I love Weight Watchers for so many reasons, and the training was not only great for my new job, but also refreshed some awesome teaching skills I need to be practicing in my every-day classroom. I feel renewed and motivated to continue my healthy lifestyle (which needs a re-start every once in a while... no one is perfect). I feel like I have what it takes to be an awesome leader, and I really can't wait to become close to members as they change their lives. I hope this all doesn't sound too soapboxy, but I really do love everything Weight Watchers! Come see me Tuesday and Wednesday nights and some Saturday mornings.

Husband came down to Vegas and crashed my weekend (actually my weekend was so packed that I hardly saw him). But we did sneak in a few dinners. Friday night Hayley and Nate were also in Vegas. Random and awesome. We met up and had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. So much fun to hook up with those two.

The next night we had dinner at a little Mexican place before heading back to St. George. It was delicious and our waiter brought us free dessert (fried ice cream). Thank you, Juan!

And that's all.
